    Women are playing an increasingly important part in the society today. First, they do the same work as men and get the same pay. In ahnost all the working fields, where there are men, there are women. And they are taking more responsibilities for the work they do than before. Second, women are playing a more and more important part in politics. There are many female stateswomen, female diplomats in the modern world. Third, women now take part in almost all social activities.
    With the change in their social role, women's position in the family has been improved as well. They share equal rights in family decisions; they as well as their husbands do the housework, and look after the baby or educate their children. Though the latter may not do as much as their wives, the situation goes better.
    In spite of these changes, the liberation of women has not been completely realized. There are still some women who are content to be"a good wife and mother" and some men who consider themselves superior to women, looking down upon women. So there is still a long way to go for the liberation of women.
